Senior Women’s 3×3 basketball national team of Serbia has qualified for FIBA 3X3
EuroCup that will be held in Romanian capital Bucharest from August 14 to August 16.

At the qualification tournament in Andorra , national team of Serbia with Biljana Pesovic, Marina Markovic, Jefimija Karakasevic and Mirjana Beronja , headed by Olivera Dragicevic Krivokapic , a head coach, won the first place in the qualifiers group B and thus has directly qualified for European Cup – without games in barrage (second ranked and third ranked teams from both groups are playing for additional two places , while the group winners directly qualify for Euro Cup).

On the first competition days our national players played brilliantly and very concentrated against favorite team from Hungary and they celebrate with 18:16. However, in the next game against Latvia they did not play well and they were defeated with 21:15. After the first competition day and four games in our group, all national teams had one victory each and one defeat , so on the second day final result was waited.

In the first game of day Serbia was persuasive in the game with Estonia, not allowing to bring the victory in question for a moment. At the beginning of the game Serbia led 5:0, after that 13:8 and final score was 21:12. In the second and last game of the day in our group B Hungary defeated Latvia with 18:12, and Serbia and Hungary came to the leading positions in the group, but Serbia was the first ranked owing to the fact that it had already defeated Hungary in their match.

Just to remind, this is the third year in a row that our national players qualify for 3×3 Euro Cup , and it should be stressed that this is only the third year that our 3×3 women national players are on the European and World stage.
