Serbia U18 –Slovakia U18 62:50 (14:12,15:15, 19:12,14:11)

U18 Women’s national team of Serbia won third place at the European championship B division, as it was better  in the game against Slovakia.

The third place may mean return to A division next year ,which will depend on the  status of Russia and Belarus in FIBA next summer.

Anyway, our team achieved its goal for this year.

After somehow slower start, our girls  caught good rhythm after  first period and with the points scored by Sara Vasiljevic they reached tie result – 12:12, and then  ended the first part of the game one step ahead of the opponent. This was a signal that the situation on the court was changing.

Even though Slovakia threatened, our girls dictated the rhythm  and kept the lead. Very soon  in the second half time our team had  two digit advance  (43:33). And this was just the beginning .

By the end of the game, the team  coached by Milan Vidosavljevic, did not allow the opponent to endanger  the advance , as well as win.

Bojana Talijan with 13 points was  most efficient, and she had 10 rebounds. Jovana Jevtovic scored 11 points and 7 rebounds and Ana Milanovic 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Sara Vasiljevic  was nominated into the starting line of the tournament.
