Borislav Bora Stankovic, long-lasting FIBA Secretary General, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award , on Friday, in Milleu . Mr. Horacio Muratore , FIBA President , and Patrick Baumann , Secretary General of FIBA , handed the award to the honorary President of the Basketball Federation of Serbia.

As a player in Red Star, Bora Stankovic won Yugoslav championship and he had played 36 games for national team between 1948 and 1953, including the World Championship held in Argentina in 1952 . As a coach with OKK Beograd he won four , and with Italian Club Orasonda one national championship .
In the Basketball Federation of Serbia Bora Stankovic was first Competitions commission president from 1945, and then for a whole decade ( 1956-1966) Secretary General . He has been FIBA Secretary General from 1976 until 2002. Since 1978 Bora Stankovic has been member of the International Olympic Committee, and since 1991 he has been member of
the Hall of Fame.
